We hope you all had a lovely Christmas and here's wishing a very healthy and happy 2015! What better way to start off the new year than siging up to the annual Derry City Masters gala.

The short course gala takes place this year on Saturday 31st January 2015 at the City Baths.

Closing date for entries is Friday 20th January.

Celtic Masters Irish SC Open Championships 2014

Aer Lingus and NAc Masters are proud to announce that the 4th Annual Celtic Masters Championships will be held in the National Aquatic Centre, Blanchardstown, on Sunday the 19th of October 2014.

• Morning Session: Warm up 9am. Start 9.45am
• Afternoon Session: Warm up 1:30pm. Start 2pm.

Individual entries cost €6. Relay entries cost €12.

Group Lane Swimming Sessions

This brand new set of coached sessions are aimed at those who would like to improve their fitness, swim skills and technique. These sessions are ideal preparation for triathletes, open water swimmers and those wanting to build up to masters swimming.

Coaches: Peter Conway & Gerry Foley

Cost: €70 for a 10 week term or €8 per session pay as you go.

Commences Wednesday 3rd September 8 -9 pm.

Adult Swimming Lessons

Adult swimming lessons are starting back Thursday 4th of September. This class caters for everyone from complete beginners to those who want to improve their technique. There are 3 Highly Qualified Teachers on the Bank catering for all levels and classes are divided according to ability so that each participant gets the help they need. Summer Training Times

Changes to training times are as follows:

From Saturday 5th July to Saturday 30th August 2014
Saturday Morning Training will be from 9am to 10am

From Thursday 10th July - Thursday 28th August
There will be an additional training session on a Thursday Night: 9pm -10pm

June Bank Holiday - Training Times

Training this bank holiday Monday night will be from 7-8pm

Aer Lingus Masters Gala - Get your entries in!

With the Easter break over and the NAC relay event / training session last weekend, our attention turn to the Aer Lingus gala, which will held on Sunday 18th at the ALSAA pool, Dublin Airport.

Cost of individual entries is €6.00 (£5.00 GBP)

Get your entries in ASAP - Mary is taking entries up until the middle of this week so get on it! :D

Easter Swimming - Bank Holiday Monday

Training in the ALSAA pool will take place at the earlier time of 6-7 pm on Bank Holiday Monday 21st April 2014.

Relay Gala LC NAC

SWIM IRELAND MASTERS are proud to present a Master’s Relay Meet plus Training Day to be held on Sunday 27th April 2014.

The event will be held during the downtime of the Swim Ireland National Long Course Championships in the National Aquatic Centre between approximately 12.00 noon and 3.30pm

The event is open to ALL current registered Masters Swimmers. You do not have to compete as part of a relay team to partake in the training element of the session.


The early bird entry fee is €3.00 per individual and the closing date for receipt of entries is Thursday 17th April 2014. Relay entries are free of charge but all relay participants must submit an individual entry by Thursday 17th April 2014 to avail of the early bird fee.
We don’t need payment up front but we do need to know if you are attending and entering teams so we need your entry forms before 17th April. DON’T send payment but pay on the day.

Fundraising Swim - Sunday 19th Jan

A Fundraising Swim in aid of the Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association will take place in the ALSAA pool, Dublin airport this Sunday 19th January.

Time: 12pm-2pm

This Swim is being organised by Aer Lingus Masters Swimming Club on behalf of Bobby Barnwell.
We need as many Masters swimmers as possible to come along and have a swim and donate a few euro.
Gerry Foley will be on the poolside if you want a session.
I do hope you can make it. Turn up any time between 12 and 2 and stay for as long as you like.

Limerick Masters LC Gala - 1st & 2nd March

The 2014 Limerick Long Course Masters Gala will be held at the UL Sports Arena on Saturday the 1st and Sunday the 2nd of March. There will be a full day of events on the Saturday with the 1500m on the Sunday morning.

Closing date for entries is Friday the 14th of February.
