Limerick Results and Awards!

Firstly, a huge congratulations is in order to everyone who took part at this year's Irish Long Course Masters Championships in Limerick. A huge vote of thanks is also in order to Limerick Masters for hosting this great event, and to all the officials, timekeepers and organisers that make it so successful. We had our own success of course; Aer Lingus Masters won Club of the Year! Above is our own Vivian Mongey accepting the trophy.

This was not, however, the only trophy Viv would be taking home from Limerick.

We are also proud to announce that both the male and female trophies for the Swim Ireland Decathalon Award 2016 were presented to Vivian Mongey and Dymphna Morris.

To be in with a chance of winning the Decathlon Award, swimmers needed to compete in ten different events in all the different stroke events, the distance freestyle and individual medley events over the course of the year. This was a true test of versatility and endurance for Masters swimmers.

There are also tickets available for the Gala Dinner afterwards in the Castletroy Park Hotel to celebrate Limerick Masters 30th year anniversary. Cost: €20 per person. Tickets can be purchased at registration desk in reception. 

NAC 50m Training 2017

A happy and healthy new year to everyone!

We are happy to announce that Friday night 50 meter training sessions in the NAC will resume from the 13th of January. See full list of dates below.

A peaceful and very merry Christmas to all! 

Training times over the holidays are a little restricted due to pool closures. 

Please take note of the following:

There will be NO TRAINING Wednesday 21st Dec.

The next training session in ALSAA will be Saturday AM 31st Dec.

There will be NO TRAINING Monday 2nd Jan 2017 (Bank holiday)

Training times resume as normal from Wednesday 4th January with AM & PM sessions as per usual.

Christmas Events!

The club Christmas party will be held on Friday the 16th December at the Coachman's. The cost is €25 per person. Please give your name to Mary.

Barrett Boys Xmas Dip 2016

There is a sponsored Christmas Dip at Portmarnock Beach on Christmas Day at 10 am in aid of Barrett Boys. You can find more details on their Facebook page.

Mallow Masters SC

The 8th Annual Mallow Masters Short course gala will take place on Saturday 26th November at Mallow Swimming Complex, Co. Cork.

It is a day long event, famous for the amazing spread of food and goodies laid out for competitors and officials at lunch time!

They have just added a new event to the programme: 200m Butterfly.
Entries for this event are on a 'first to apply, first to be entered' basis. This event will run after the 400m FC and before the 100m IM in the morning. ie. "Event 1A."

Closing date for entries is Monday the 21st November 2017.

Celtic Masters 2016 Results

Well done to all who organised, helped out and competed in the Celtic Masters last Saturday 22nd October. The occasion was a great success and was hugely enjoyable thanks to the amount of effort that was put by everyone involved. It included a special presentation to our medal winners from the European Championships this Summer. See the below link for detailed results.
