A great night was had on Saturday to celebrate the host of
achievements from the past two years and to finally get all our pool and sea
swimmers together again. Thanks to all the swimmers who have swam and competed so passionately over this time. Honourable mention to our coach
Peter Conway who guided us through the pandemic, consistently ensuring training was still safe
and enjoyable for everyone and Mary Fitzpatrick, aka “the glue”, we couldn’t could have done any of it without
you!
Huge success has been had both in the pool and the sea. Many
of our swimmers travelled to Italy this Summer to compete in the European Masters championships prodcuing some great swims and a lot of excitement.
These framed pictures were presented to the European gold medal record-breaking
relay teams: In the Men’s 4x50m Medley Relay (240+) was John Cunningham,
Peter Conway, Vivian Mongey and Tony Morris.
And
in the Women’s 4x50m Medley Relay (240+) was Patricia Reilly, Niav Halpin,
Dymphna Morris and Cara Mulcahy bringing home the gold in heroic style
It was a joy to be able to join together once again and celebrate the club and everybody who plays a part. Thanks for joining!
